The Power of Makeup And Accessories

I am going to give you some basic tips on how you can feel more confident, and be very happy with the end result of your shoot. Hopefully after every shoot you will want to get large prints,  hang them on your wall, and enjoy your beautiful family.

Even if you are just getting your child photographed a little mascara and a bow can go a long way.

I have taken this girls photos three times and everytime she arives with her hair done and accessorized to the 9! I can tell it makes her feel so special and ready to be a little model for the day. She loves it!

It's all about the accessories!

Okay maybe it's not. But I have been saying this tag line sense I was in jr. high.  I have been collecting ever sense, and this is not even the half of it. Take a look at Taylor in that left photo, her eyes are popping off the screen! One part of this is her makeup and another part of this is her necklace leads your eyes right to her face and adds a lot of interest to the photo.

Makeup is tough! A lot of us ladies wear maybe some mascara or a little powder, or hey maybe we do it all! But for a shoot a little bit more than normal makes a huge difference in photographs.

If you don't feel confident putting a little more makeup on than normal,
I have a makeup artist and a hair stylist. Both services are $25 each, and you can do one or both, or just do it yourself. Angela opted out of hair and got makeup service, she was so happy she did!

You obviously don't have to do anything you don't want to do! I just wanted to show you, that with a little sparkle it can make a huge difference.

You're worth it!

Before + After
= Still Beautiful!

This is Angela she is GORGEOUS!
There is something about getting your hair and makeup done that makes you feel sexy and confident. And when you feel like that it explodes from the inside, and out to the world.

I hear it all the time! "Can you take ten pounds off me" or, "I don't want to have photos of our family till I loose ten pounds." Or this one "Actually, I don't need a family session.... Just my kids is fine."

It's no joke when I say, that the media and society around us makes us think we need to look a certain way. Most of us women all have some rendition of an "I Wish" board on pintrest exubing: outfits, cuts, colors, shoes, makeup and hairstyles we wish we could pull off. And I'm sure a few "if only's" are tied to that as well.

I'm here to tell you, you are beautiful! You can pull off whatever you dream of pulling off, sometimes we just need a nudge in the right direction. I'm here to say, Go get that family shoot you have been wishing you looked "perfect" for.

To feel confident as ladies we need to put some things into action. We need to trade those yoga pants, for some jeans. Trade those flip flops for some sparkly shoes and spice up our lives with some makeup, I know this sounds like I'm contradicting everything I just said. But when we start doing these things we will feel better about ourselves and we will want to go out into the world and conquer not only our fears but our doubts.

Why? Because you're worth it!

>Stay tuned, for my next post on how to prep for a shoot<

Personally, I've been on hiatus.

Sense the last time I wrote we were waiting to purchase a foreclosed "dream" home, and living in a motorhome in Phil's parents back yard. We were saving money, drinking smoothies, and viewing over 100 homes for sale. We left (what we thought was our dream home) behind, and headed off to the unknown land of Bremerton for our new life. Homes were cheaper, and EXACTLY what we wanted, minus the Port Orchard "city". They were old, charming, and huge! We put about ten offers on homes, and nearly lost the bidding war on this awesome 2,500 square foot 90 year old gem of a home.

We have many projects planned for this summer! And we can't wait! Oh, and we LOVE living in Bremerton! We were meant for the city!

We moved into our home on May 17th Aspyn's (Pictured above) 5th birthday. Three weeks after moving in I had my third and final eye surgery. This surgery was performed when I was a newborn, and when I was 14 to correct a lazy eye. I had more scar tissue then the doctor had expected and my recovery time ended up being about a month and a half long. I was seeing double and was nearly blind. As a creative, a mom, wife, control freak, and new home owner this was SO hard for me! Our family also learned that our eight year old Bella has a ton of food intolerance's, including the ever so popular gluten and fructose to name a couple. Although this has been difficult, our family is adjusting daily to our new eating plan. I can now see, maybe not 20/20 but hey, thats what fabulous glasses are for!

Okay, Blah, blah, blah!
So sorry if I am talking your brain off! But with all this craziness, and learning how to cook all over again. I'm here to say.....

I'm back, and more excited than ever about "Loriana Marie Photography"! Please stay tuned, I will be blogging a lot, and telling you about all my fun shoots and clients!

Josiah Osborne

Oh my gosh! I can't say enough about this cute little man and his big blue eyes! This ham was ready to strike a pose and was very respectful.
Josiah's great grandpa went to be with the Lord about a year ago. He was like a father to Josiah's mom and really a hero. His nickname was "Chief Crow Feather" and the day he passed Josiah's mom went to get in her car and noticed a perfectly placed crow's feather laying on the ground by the car door. We thought it most appropiate to incorporate this special feather, almost as if great grandpa was in the photos with them. So, I stuck it in Josiah's hat and it was perfect!
