On a personal note...

Life has been FULL of questions lately, questions like: Was it a good choice to sell our house four months ago, where are we going to live, what's for dinner, is that in storage, how do you make banana bread, are we to even live in Port Orchard, is our dream house going to be ours?

Yes our dream house! We found it four months ago, we sold our house and moved into a motor home at my in-laws house. Although the hospitality is great, we can count on home cooked meals and confectionary, but there is something about laying on your couch at the end of the day watching Jay Leno. There is something about home sweet home. But for now we are WAITING, waiting for God to tell us which direction we are to go, waiting for our house (if thats even "the one").  We are waiting in Gods arms with confidence he has and knows whats best for us and others.

But for now we are enjoying life on a cul-de-sac, riding bikes, and cuddling in a full size bed with fuller than full size people, while listening to the tarps blow in the wind.

Please enjoy some photos of this past friday...

I have not wanted to be behind the camera in seven years. Today marks a huge milestone!

Fact: My hair being blown in the wind doesn't make me as happy as I look in this photo ;)

I have lost 45 lbs, and I'm going to keep on this new journey of being healthy!

Before we left for Seattle friday, Aspyn learned how to ride her two wheeler! I'm so proud of her!

Bella is an excellent big sister/cheerleader!

Fact: When Bella has a reflection she ALWAYS looks into it! This trait does not help when she is throwing a fit. I mean my kids don't throw fits!

 Big girl teeth!

Kissed by the sun

Sometimes I wish Aspyn would pose for the camera like Bella does, but then I realize that Aspyn, is Aspyn and she is SO perfect the way she is!

P.S. My website is under construction, I will let you know when the chaos is over. Stay tuned =)

Halloween Was Great!

I love Halloween! First of all, it's fall, the air is crisp, the colors are changing and all of the sudden there are excuses to get cozy with the ones you love. I am Christian and love God with ALL my heart! And to say I love Halloween, let's just say, I can get some looks. Supposedly this holiday is "the devil's holiday." But it's what you make of it for your family. We choose to praise God by living our life for Him and have fun WITHOUT stepping on or going over the "line". We had so much fun this year! Bella dressed up as Lola from Hannah Montana and Aspyn was Dora.

I have been shooting a lot of fall sessions but, unfortunately, I can't put them up on my blog because Christmas is right around the corner and my clients don't want their presents spoiled. But don't worry! As soon as Christmas is over, you will get an eye full of fall shoots.

Not the greatest photo but look how cute this little Dora is! I made her wig with a black ski hat, black yarn, scotch tape, velcro and a sewing machine. Her backpack was made from a dollar store backpack that had felt all over it; I seam ripped the felt and cut out new felt for the backpacks face. Then I got tan paper and rolled it around a toilet paper roll and drew the map. She loved her outfit! And here I thought her outfit would be way easier than Bella's!
Here is a photo of the first prize winner for 'Most Creative Costume' at our church. She won $100 for being a tissue box! Man, sign me up! She rocked it!

Back To School Mini Session

Yes, whenever I hear the words "back to school" I instantly start singing the song from "Billy Madison's, Back To School". I know, I know, it's probably A generation thing. But at the same time it gets me all excited! My kids are going to school this year sorta for the first time, Aspyn will be in preschool and Bella will be in first grade! They and I are so exceed, but there is something inside this momma that is a little sad. I have been staying home with my kids their entire lives, and finally they are "growing up." I know, I know... Growing up is hard to do, (I think I just referenced another song ;)

These are moment we can never get back, our kids don't enter Pre-School and first grade every year, but once in a lifetime.

So I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to have a back to school mini session, and I couldn't be more excited about it! There will be tons of fun "old school" props, and encourage parents to dress their children a little "old school" as well, but don't worry I will be providing some great stuff just in case.

Details you ask? Saturday the Third ALL day, at Howe Park in Port Orchard Wa. Please E-mail me with availability time slots, for slots will be filling fast!

Bella.....

Think about supplementing those nasty grey and blue school photo backdrops for something a little more fun, and beautiful, in a natural setting.
Aspyn.....

No one will ever believe this, but photographing your own children, is the hardest!

Dreamer

What you don't see, is when i gave her the apple she took a big bite out of it, she is so funny!

My fashionista, I'm sure as long as she is in private school she will be dressing up her uniform, we are so alike!

The Green's

These kids are so dear to my heart, I practically think they are my own. Olivia (the cute little girl, of course) Is my daughter Bella's best friend and through that, and the fact that the momma Brandi works for YFC with my husband, we have all become a very close family! I'm not sure what I would ever do if this family decided to move someday. Any who, here are some photos of these awesome kids! Love you guys!

Sarah, 2013 Graduate!

Meet Sarah.
I don't know her that well, I mostly know her mom as being my daughters INCREDIBLE first grade teacher from Burley Christian School, that we miss dearly!
But from the short time I spent with Sarah I could tell she was walking in her mom's footsteps, and full of beauty inside and out!

Daughter and Momma Hug's and Loves

I gave them the chalkboard to write what they would like on it. I just love that this is what they chose!

She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Though the cherry trees don't blossom and the strawberries don't ripen, Though the apples are worm-eaten and the wheat fields stunted, Though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty,  I'm singing joyful praise to God. I'm turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God.

Okay I NEVER EVER bring my kids with me to shoots (Unprofessional) But My Bella has really missed her old school, and teachers. This made her entire spring break! And Her teacher didn't mind ;)
Hey I put her to work!

Bella Means Beautiful

XoXo

This is one of the last days of the season that my daughter could go outside and wear a swim suit. She is so amazing to me! I love her eyes and the way she looks at me, I just pray she always looks at me this way!
